Allow Kindness and Compassion to Guide You

by Karen M. Winkelman

Wednesday, June 18, 2025

A sign in a country road with the words June's 6-vibration says Choose Love. The headline reads Allow kindness and compassion to guide youChoose Love is one of June’s messages for you.

June is a 6-vibration month, which at its core vibrates with the energy of Love, Harmony, Peace, Creativity, Money, Beauty, Responsibility, Acceptance, Family, Community, and Service.

The primary areas being triggered this month are:

Love (especially self-love), acceptance, peace, responsibility, community, and money. The 6 is a money number, and it offers you lessons in giving and receiving without judgments, expectations, or strings attached.

As the Beatles sang, “All You Need Is Love.” Well, yes, sorta.

Yet when you have the energy of June’s 6-vibration dancing with the 9-vibration for 2025, the love in question is unconditional. Yikes.

Not romantic love, physical love, passionate love, ideological love, or familial love.

It is calling out for love without attachment.

Unconditional love… for all.

Including yourself!

And, for most of humanity, unconditional is the tricksy bit.

Why? Because many people find it quite challenging to allow others to be who and what they are. The concept of allowing others to be different can make many people feel threatened or unsettled in some way.

Not surprisingly, because most people haven’t been taught to love themselves as is.

Instead, they’ve been conditioned to find fault with who and what they are.

When you are trying to be right, it is easy to project that negative judgment onto others.

Which is one reason why most love currently on the planet is quite conditional.

Except maybe in the case of animals and nature, for the most part.

So, what does this mean for you this month?

This means all areas in your life (and in the world) that are resisting, and fighting, and unwilling to allow unconditional love to take root and begin to bloom are being triggered.

Big time.

When you are unable to find unconditional love for yourself and your body, and continually heap judgment upon yourself, your world reflects this back to you.

Sucks, huh.

Think of that phrase: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

What do you think it is asking you to do?

It isn’t a platitude, it is a guideline, a key.

Our outer world reflects our inner world. Change begins with you and within you.

If you want to experience more peace, what aspects of yourself do you need to make peace with?

If you want to be acknowledged by others, what do you need to acknowledge about yourself that you aren’t?

Yes, outside circumstances can certainly trigger change.

What if the outside event is actually responding to an inner subconscious request for change?

Remember, everything is energy. Energy communicates vibrationally.

You are always sending out subtle (or not-so-subtle) non-conscious energy signals, as well as the conscious ones.

Every thought and emotion that passes through you carries a vibration that ripples out from you.

The Universe responds. Like attracts like.

When you send out a steady stream of “I don’t like this, I don’t want this, this is bad, wrong, etc.,” you receive more of those yucky energy matches. And you have more things to be irritated by.

Enter the Shadows

Since the 9-year of 2025 is bringing all the unresolved shit to the surface, we will be dealing with the shadow all year long.

(As I tap into the energy, it appears we will be dealing with Shadow Shit for at least a few years. My guidance tells me it will continue until we face the Shadow elements and integrate them.)

Our shadow elements are asking to be seen, and heard, and acknowledged so we can release or transmute them.

The shadow isn’t a bad thing.

But it can be fucking uncomfortable and cause all kinds of acting out in your life.

Think toddler throwing a tantrum.

When you react or act from autopilot, it is often a subconscious or unconscious shadow element choosing and making decisions for you.

Becoming present and responding from your heart space or inner knowing leads to better decisions.

The challenge here is learning how to regulate your reactions, emotions, feelings, nervous system, judgments, and conclusions while remaining in touch with your own inner knowing, wisdom, and truth.

Wow, that was a mouthful!

Can you do it?

Yes, if you are patient with yourself and stay present or bring yourself to presence when things are happening.

Choose from this place of consciousness.

Question what is happening, what is really going on.

Be willing to explore your shadow and do the inner work.

Ask for help if you need it.

If I resonate with you, I invite you to consider having sessions with me as needed to work through it. If not me, please find another shadow worker to assist you.

As I mentioned earlier, the light side of the 6-vibration is love, family, community, creativity, money, harmony, peace, beauty, responsibility, acceptance, and service.

The shadow of the 6-vibration is disruptive to those things.

It will spotlight areas in your life that are stuck in the shadow aspects of the 6, listed below.

Jealousy, self-centeredness, vanity, selfishness (in an egotistical way), extravagance, self-righteousness, picky, critical, nagging, condescending, wasteful, manipulative, over-giving to depletion, martyr, victim, self-pity, meddling/rescuing/fixing (because you believe you know better), feeling unfulfilled or going to extremes, hate, judgement, guilt, money struggles, and creatively blocked.

Many of these “shadow behaviors” are really a call for love and acceptance on your part.

The Shadow Side of the 6 generates disruptive energy that can pull families and communities apart.

Instead of harmony and creativity, there is chaos and destruction.

Instead of peace and unity, there is fear, anger, hostility, isolation, and division.

The Shadow speaks to your wounded self… the things you are aware of, as well as all the things you hide from yourself, stuffed in a vault somewhere in your energy or body.

This is a great service! It brings it to your awareness to be dealt with.

Shadow work is liberating. Yes, it can be difficult, yet it is so worthwhile.

If you’d like help moving through and clearing some shadow stuff, I invite you to book a session with me.

It is up to you how you respond to the energies swirling around and within you.

You can choose the high road… or you can allow yourself to get caught up in the drama, react from that place, and slip onto the low road.

Energy is neutral. It’s what you do with it that moves it toward positive or negative, lighter or heavier, expansive or contractive.

Remember, you always have a choice.

The 6-vibration asks that you choose from the energy of love, peace, or harmony.

Let kindness and compassion (especially for yourself) guide you.

Note: Since many of you are healers, the shadow 6-vibration also pokes at any part of you that holds onto victim or martyr energy, as well as resentment from over-giving and depleting yourself.

If not acknowledged and dealt with, your old shadow wounds are only sleeping, waiting to be triggered and activated.

This is why it is so important to do the inner work.

"Stress is an alarm clock that lets you know that you are attached to something that’s not true for you." ~ Byron Katie

2025 being a Universal 9-year is facilitating closure, completions, and examining all of your “stuff” to heal it, clear it, and let it go.

As well as determine what is truly worth bringing with you into the next 9-year cycle. (If you’d like a refresher on the 9-Year, here is my blog post on it )

Those old “shadow wounds” you have still contain dormant energy, waiting to be triggered and activated.

The 9-year will bring to the surface the dysfunctional aspects of the 6-vibration in your life so they may be acknowledged and healed.

A couple of major areas to work with this month (and every month!)

Self-Love & Self-Acceptance:

Think of it as coming home to your true self. Your world can change as you reconnect more deeply with who you are.

Love who you are, what you are, and where you are. This might be the basis for everything, really. Take baby steps each day to begin building this loving connection with yourself… and your body.

Accept who you are and where you are, instead of resisting it, fighting it, or wishing you were someone else or somewhere else. Or wishing you had a better body, were smarter, wealthier, healthier, younger, older, better looking, or had a better job, or lived in a nicer place. As one of my mentors told me decades ago, “Love and accept yourself, warts and all.”

Start talking to yourself and your body with kindness and compassion. No harsh words and criticism! Tune out the mean girl living inside your head (she lies, anyway). Did you know that your body hears and believes everything you tell it? And while we’re on this subject, stop blaming your body for choices you made. It isn’t your body’s fault. Your body is actually quite miraculous and has amazing healing ability and wisdom… if you’d work with it instead of overriding it.

Begin letting go of any and all judgments over who you are and where you are. This requires you to monitor your thoughts. Baby steps. You will be building a new habit.

Stop doing things for others in the hope that they will love you, accept you, pick you, or do things for you in return. Instead, take care of your needs first. Fill your well. Appreciate things about yourself daily, if possible.

Acknowledge how much you’ve actually accomplished in this life. You will not get it all done because there are always more things you’ll want to do and experience.

Stop over-giving to the point of depletion and then resentment. Notice what situations or people you tend to over-give to on a regular basis. Ask yourself the reason behind this pattern. What do you hope to gain by doing this? (There is always a payoff you’re hoping for. Even if you never get it.)

Create and maintain strong, healthy boundaries. It may take a while to master maintaining your boundaries. That’s OK. Have compassion for yourself. You’ll get better at it.

Pay attention to your physical and mental wellbeing (allow time to eat nourishing foods, get enough sleep, relax, and dream).

Yeah, I get you… I struggle with these things too at times. And, I keep working on it daily.

Creativity:

Your creative expression is another wonderful way to connect to your true self.

Create something and have fun doing it.

Create without judgment, expectation, or comparison.

Reconnect with your inner child and joyful innocence… channel the energy of love, peace, or harmony into your creations.

Allow your intuition or inner guidance to guide your creative project rather than your beautiful brain. Notice how you interact with the creation process this way.

Creativity opens the money flow. Allowing yourself to joyfully create makes you more magnetically attractive to the energy of abundance and prosperity.

Money:

Money issues stem from several internal, emotional, and often unconscious limitations.

One of the primary limitations is around your ability to receive.

  • You might feel you don’t deserve to have a lot of money for some reason.
  • You might think it is selfish to receive a lot of money.
  • You may feel more comfortable giving.
  • You might feel you need to be punished for something you did in this or another lifetime, and limit or block your ability to receive.
  • You might have a fear that if you have money, you will have to give up something else you want, or that something you love will be taken from you.

The other major limitation is based on your beliefs, as well as the conditioning you received from your family, community, religion, or society.

There are many variations of this one, so I will only mention a few. Keep in mind that you will not allow yourself to have money if you believe it will make you a bad person in some way.

  • Money is the root of all evil
  • Making money is hard
  • You have to work hard to make money
  • Money doesn’t grow on trees
  • Wealthy people aren’t nice or happy
  • Money corrupts
  • Wanting money is being greedy
  • Money isn’t spiritual

I invite you to explore your limitations, beliefs, and barriers around money. Uncover them and question them. You may be surprised to discover they aren’t true at all.

While you are at it, ask yourself what not having the money you desire is doing for you, or what your current financial situation is giving you.

You may find you are keeping a dysfunctional pattern in place in the hopes of someone else giving you what you need, or subconsciously trying to prove something.

For example, a friend of mine realized she held herself back from higher earnings because she didn’t want to make more than her father. She felt like her earning more would diminish him in some way or that he’d feel betrayed.

I used to set my prices lower than those of former teachers because they were my teachers and I shouldn’t charge what they charge.

I also struggled for years under the belief that you had to work really hard (and do things you didn’t enjoy) to get any money. I formed that belief because my dad worked very hard and did double shifts on weekends. What I didn’t understand was that he actually loved what he was doing. I only saw that his job prevented him from having a traditional family life since he slept during the day and worked nights and weekends.

As young kids, we form beliefs by observing what our parents and those around us do and how they react to us.

We may reach conclusions that are inaccurate, yet hold onto them for years and decades as if they were true.

Question everything!

Final Thoughts

Remember to be kind to yourself, this is a bumpy year!

I highly recommend incorporating a daily gratitude and appreciation process into your life. It helps raise your vibration.

Plus, it shifts your focus from what isn’t working out the way you want it to becoming aware of things that are around you that you are grateful for and can appreciate.

Write down five things each day and say them out loud.

Or list five things (silently or out loud) that you are grateful for when you are going to bed at night. Or do both.

LOL, right now, with the heat, I'm so grateful for air conditioning and the electricity it requires to run it! I’m also grateful for indoor plumbing, running water, and ice cubes.

See, you can find everyday things in your life to be grateful for!

Cheering you on…

With deep appreciation for you,
